WeGro bridges a connection between individual and institutional financiers with smallholder farmers and their farm projects. With the WeGro app, users can invest in various agricultural projects, including cattle, poultry, fisheries, and various crops, among others. Users can simulate their profits on the app and can track their projects and receive updates on new projects. WeGro leverages technology to improve the agricultural value chain of Bangladesh. WeGro has been working with 5,000 farmers across 28 operational zones in the country.

Job Overview:

As a Frontend Developer at WeGro, you will be an integral part of our dynamic tech team, responsible for designing and implementing user-friendly interfaces for our WeGro digital products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate user needs and business requirements into engaging and intuitive frontend designs. We are seeking individuals who are passionate about leveraging technology to drive social impact and possess strong frontend development skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop responsive and user-friendly frontend interfaces for ensuring a seamless user experience across various devices and screen sizes.
• Collaborate with backend developers, UX/UI designers, and product managers to translate design mockups and wireframes into fully functional frontend features.
• Optimize frontend performance and ensure scalability and maintainability of codebase.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers to maintain code quality and adhere to coding standards.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest frontend development trends and technologies, and incorporate best practices into our development process.
• Troubleshoot and debug frontend issues, and work proactively to identify and address technical challenges.
• Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and other Agile development activities to ensure timely delivery of frontend features and enhancements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven 3 years of experience as a frontend developer, with expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frontend frameworks such as React.js or Angular.
• Strong understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and frontend build tools (e.g., Webpack).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and communicate technical concepts clearly.
