Description

We are looking for Database Engineers responsible for developing, maintaining, and deploying database applications. Your primary focus will be developing high-end data flows and processes from business requirements, suitable data (DW/OLAP) model that further supports high-end data-centric applications and business reports/dashboards by following standard architecture patterns and best practices. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem-solving, sophisticated design, and creating quality products is essential.

Job Responsibilities

• Business requirement analysis (for example: To include Program Planning Tool data, Call Center data, etc.).
• Transforming business requirements into technical requirements.
• Transforming technical requirements into DW/Datamart model for support. Data Flow, Source/Destination Data Models, and how the end-system consumes the data.
• Development of complex T-SQL and U-SQL to support business data needs.
• Monitoring & maintenance of the overall solution.
• Design a new data model for the data warehouse and develop ETL accordingly.
• Development of new Power BI reports & dashboards.
• Modify existing Power BI dashboards/reports if needed.
• Change/Refactor existing ETL if required.
• Troubleshooting and fixing issues.
• Performance Optimization if required.
• Strong Communication skills to have an onshore meeting with global teams.

Skill Requirements

• Minimum 3 years hands on experience on Informatica PowerCenter.
• Must have to be expert on Terabyte level of data migration.
• Hands-on expertise on DW/DM schema, dimensional modeling, OLAP.
• Experience with cloud computing in the Azure environment with Azure Data Factory & Integration Runtime, or similar technologies.
• Transforming business data requirements in terms of the data model.
• Understanding Data Architecture.
• Working on the Microsoft BI platform.
• Participating in business, meetings to grasp the need and suggest different options related to data ingestion, data sizing, and feasibilities.
• Writing data transformations logics, data flows, and data pipelines
• Good understanding of different dimensions and fact types and when to use which one.
• Assist with DW Schema (Star, snowflake, galaxy, or combined) design.
• Writing ETL SQL codes and ADF data flows to support data into Azure DW architecture.
• Code review, SQL query tuning, write/deploy SQL patches, and database scripts, and work with applications, and developers to create optimized queries.
• Work with Data modeling to visualize database structure.
• Knowledge of Data Aggregation, Data Granularity, Data Archiving, and Data purging.
• Knowledge and usage of Azure platform, Azure Database/DW and its data migration methodologies.
• Prior experience with Power BI is required. Having experience in other BI software Tableau, Qlik, Sisense, etc. will be a plus.
• Must be flexible with working hours, independent and self-motivated, Punctual, Regular, and consistent attendance.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English.

Educational Requirements

B.Sc./M.Sc in Computer Science or Software Engineering from any reputed university/Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
