JOB DESCRIPTION

The Product Development Executive plays a critical role in the growth and success of the EdTech company by leading the development of innovative educational products and solutions. They are responsible for managing the entire product development lifecycle, from concept to launch, and ensuring that the products align with the company’s educational objectives and customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Strategy:
    • Collaborate with the leadership team to define the overall product strategy and vision.
    • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify market trends and opportunities.
    • Develop a clear product roadmap that aligns with the company’s strategic goals.
  • Product Development:
    • Lead cross-functional teams, including designers, developers, and content creators, in product development projects.
    • Define product requirements, features, and specifications.
    • Oversee the design and development process, ensuring products are delivered on time and within budget.
    • Conduct user testing and gather feedback to iterate on product improvements.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Implement quality control processes to ensure the functionality and reliability of educational products.
    • Work closely with quality assurance teams to identify and resolve issues.
    • Conduct regular testing and debugging to maintain product quality.
  • Content Development:
    • Collaborate with subject matter experts and instructional designers to create high-quality educational content.
    • Ensure that content aligns with curriculum standards and educational best practices.
  • User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) Design:
    • Ensure that the user experience is intuitive, engaging, and user-friendly.
    • Collaborate with designers to create visually appealing and effective interfaces.
  • Market Launch and Marketing Support:
    • Coordinate product launches, including marketing campaigns and sales support materials.
    • Work with marketing teams to develop strategies for product promotion and user acquisition.
  • Data Analysis:
    • Monitor product usage and gather data to make informed decisions for product improvements.
    • Utilize analytics tools to track user engagement and measure the effectiveness of educational products.
  • Compliance and Regulations:
    • Stay informed about educational regulations and standards.
    • Ensure that the company’s products comply with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Budget Management:
    • Manage budgets for product development projects and ensure cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field (e.g., Education, Computer Science, Business Administration).
  • Previous experience in product management, preferably in the EdTech industry.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of educational technology trends and market dynamics.
  • Knowledge of instructional design principles is a plus.
  • Proficiency in project management and collaboration tools.
