Job Title: Database Engineer (Backend)

Position Overview

We are looking for a Database Engineer for our backend technical team to play a pivotal role in shapingour overall database management structure and development. The ideal candidate should have experiencein production operation support, database development, database administration, knowledge of generaldatabase concepts, and basic Linux server administration. Experience with database administration taskautomation is a big plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement database solutions for both SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments.
• Write efficient and optimized SQL queries for data retrieval, manipulation, and reporting
• Ensure data integrity, performance, and security in database designs
• Develop and maintain Business Intelligence (BI) solutions for data analysis and reporting
• Design and implement Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to integrate data from various sources into the databases
• Perform regular database maintenance tasks such as backups, restores, and index rebuilding
• Monitor and optimize database performance, identifying and resolving issues promptly
• Configure and manage SQL Server clustering for high availability and failover support
• Implement and maintain SQL Server replication to ensure data consistency across multiple servers
• Design, implement, and manage High Availability Groups for SQL Server databases
• Ensure the availability and reliability of database systems through proactive monitoring and troubleshooting

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from any UGC accredited university

Professional Requirements:

• 1 to 3 years of experiences working in the field of database management
• The applicants should have experience in at least one of the following business area(s): Software Company, IT Enabled Service, Business-to-Business (B2B) Software or Startups

Additional Requirements

• Proven experience as a Database Developer with in-depth knowledge of SQL Server and PostgreSQL
• Expertise in BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar
• Strong ETL development skills using tools like SSIS or other relevant platforms
• Proficiency in database maintenance tasks and performance tuning
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server clustering, replication, and High Availability Groups
• Familiarity with best practices in database security and disaster recovery
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Relevant certifications (e.g. Digital Ocean, AWS, Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate) would be a plus
• Age Range : 27 to 40 years
