Users can simulate their profits on the app and can track their projects and receive updates on new projects. WeGro leverages technology to improve the agricultural value chain of Bangladesh. WeGro has been working with 5000 farmers across 28 operational zones in the country.

Job Overview:

WeGro Technologies Limited is seeking a skilled Credit Analyst to develop and maintain our credit scoring model, conduct data analysis, and provide insights on Non-Performing Loans (NPLs). The Credit Analyst will play a crucial role in assessing the creditworthiness of borrowers, optimizing our lending practices, and mitigating credit risks. This role offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your analytical skills and expertise in credit assessment to drive the success of our platform and support the growth of agricultural finance in Bangladesh.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, validate, and deploy credit risk models to predict default risks and assist in making credit decisions.
  • Utilize machine learning, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling techniques to analyze vast datasets related to agricultural finance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, product development, and technology, to integrate credit risk models into our financial products and services.
  • Continuously monitor and update models to ensure accuracy and effectiveness, incorporating new data sources and methodologies as needed.
  • Conduct in-depth research on agricultural economics and its impact on credit risk to enhance model robustness.
  • Present findings and model insights to stakeholders and non-technical audiences, informing strategic decisions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in credit risk modeling, preferably in the fintech or agricultural finance sector.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, R, or similar languages, with a solid understanding of machine learning libraries and tools.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools and the ability to translate complex model outcomes into actionable insights.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • A passion for the agriculture sector and its financial empowerment is a plus.
