JOB DESCRIPTION

The cinematographer will be responsible for capturing and delivering visually compelling video content that supports our educational objectives. You will work closely with the content development team to ensure that our educational materials are delivered engagingly and effectively through video.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Video Production:
    • Plan, shoot, and edit high-quality video content that aligns with the educational objectives of the company.
    • Operate video cameras, lighting equipment, and sound recording devices to ensure professional production quality.
    • Collaborate with the content development team to understand the educational content and objectives, translating them into visual storytelling.
  • Storyboarding and Pre-production:
    • Develop creative concepts and storyboards for video projects.
    • Assist in pre-production tasks, including location scouting, equipment setup, and talent coordination.
  • Post-production:
    • Ensure videos meet company branding and quality standards.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in video production and editing.
    • Maintain and organize video equipment and assets.
  • Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with educators, subject matter experts, and content creators to ensure accurate representation of educational materials in videos.
    • Work closely with the marketing team to create promotional videos for courses and products.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Review and provide feedback on video content to ensure accuracy and effectiveness in conveying educational concepts.
  • Project Management:
    • Manage multiple video projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met.
    • Maintain a production schedule and communicate progress effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Cinematography, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience as a cinematographer or videographer, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
  • Proficiency in video editing software and knowledge of industry-standard equipment.
  • Strong storytelling and creative skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Familiarity with educational content creation and instructional design is a plus.
